Date: 5/7/2006
Location: Ada, MI
Optics: 10" f/5 Certified DSO Newtonian
w/ MPCC coma corrector
Mount: Tak NJP
Camera: Starlight Xpress SXV-H9
Exposure: Ha(R)OIII(G)OIII(B): Ha - 68x2min, OII I68x1min, all unbinned, Astrodon filters (204 Minutes Total)

Note: Captured, no darks or flats, aligned, SDMask combined, ME Deconvolution, color combined in MaximDL. Luminance created by averaging the Ha and OIII combined images. Final Processing in PS CS.

Both the Bright core and dim background were extracted from these exposures, which is why they were so short. I processed the image first for the dim outer shell, then for the bright core. In the final full image above, I selected the processed core, feathered the selection, and then pasted it into the center...fake looking, but it was just too difficult to process as a single unit.
